Broken Bones
Broken Bones are a new exhibitor at Harrow and interestingly come from Slovenia. The brainchild of Bostjan Marusic and Borut Osojnik, two friends that share a family tradition of producing wine and spirits. They set out to produce Gin and Whisky and in July 2016 they together were filling the first whisky barrels. They learned at first hand you need to do this with care, as barrels are heavy and can roll if not adequately secured. They both ended up with hospital treatment (a broken nose and a broken leg) and so came about the brand name for the spirits and the distillery………….’Broken Bones’
The distillery is located in the Kodeljevo district of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. The maturing warehouses are located in parkland just outside Ljubljana.
