Bushmills is widely regarded as the oldest licensed distillery in the world and brings immense heritage to the Harrow Whisky Festival. Bushmills first exhibited at the second Harrow Whisky Festival and they have been a regular and very popular exhibitor since.

The distillery occupies a position very close to the World Heritage site of the Antrim coast, including the Giants Causeway visitor centre. Our Whisky Scouts visited in Autumn 2017 and highly recommend it, especially for tours linked to other tourist attractions in the area. The wider area is also known as a filming location for ‘The Game of Thrones’ series.

The heritage associated with Bushmills and its fine whiskies means it recently celebrated its 400 year anniversary. A landmark of sufficient importance that the Bank of Ireland issued banknotes featuring the distillery.

Bushmills is a part of the single Ireland Whiskey region which sets standards across the island of Ireland. Ireland is widely regarded as the location where whiskey distilling first began and adopts the spelling whiskey with the added ‘e’. Whiskies include the exceptionally smooth Red Bush, then Black Bush and Bushmills Original. The main malts range is from 10 year olds up to 21 year olds.
